Conducting Measurements of Radon and Radon ANSI/AARST MALB-2014 with 1/21 Revisions Decay Products in Schools and Large Buildings 33 8.5 Other Reporting and Disclosures It shall be incumbent upon all measurement professionals responsible for adherence to protocols during onsite activities and quality procedures during planning and reporting to ensure compliance with requirements in a), b), c) and d) of this Section 8.5 : a) All valid test results shall be reported in accordance with local statutes and requirements of the state radon office or other local authority where the testing is conducted; b) Test location details submitted voluntarily to a state, federal authority or research project shall include no less than: 1. The address of the property tested to include street address, city, state and zip code, 2. Detector identification/serial numbers, 3. The start and stop dates and times of the measurement period, and 4. The test result. c) The client shall be informed in writing that the chain of custody for test devices is available upon request. d) The client shall be informed in writing of their responsibility to identify and comply with local statutes regarding obligations that may exist for disclosing test results to occupants and affected third parties. 8.6 Retention of Records The detector placement log, floor-plan diagrams, supporting documentation with evidence of compliance with this standard and other records related to the testing shall be maintained for at least 6 years after testing.
