System Labeling ( § 1001.3): Verify System Label on pipe. 9. System Documentation* ( § 1001.4): Verify documentation package. 10. Pipe Size ( § 501.2): Verify pipe is minimum 3 inch [7.6 cm] diameter PVC or ABS. 11. Pipe Labeling ( § 501.10): Verify pipe is labeled on each floor, if visible. 12. Pipe Slope ( § 501.5): Verify slope of all horizontal pipes. 13. Pipe Insulation ( § 501.8): Verify pipe insulation, if required. 14. Electrical ( § 701.4): Verify junction box and disconnect for fan. 15. Fan Location ( § 901.8): Verify fan properly located outside occupiable space: attic, garage, roof, etc. 16. Fan Clearance ( § 701.1): Verify an area of vertical height not less than 48 inches [122 cm] and a diameter of not less than 21 inches [53 cm] provided in the area where the radon fan is (or can be) installed. 17. Radon Fan* ( § 901): Verify fan is installed and running. 18. Radon Discharge ( § 601): Verify pipe discharges upward outside the building, 1 foot [30 cm] above the roof surface, not less than 10 feet [3 m] horizontally from a vertical wall that extends above the roof penetrated, 10 feet [3 m] above the ground, 2 feet [60 cm] above any operable door or window within 10 feet [3 m] in this building or any adjacent building and 3 feet [91 cm] above or 10 feet [3 m] away from mechanical air intake openings. 19.
