Conducting Measurements of Radon and Radon ANSI/AARST MALB-2014 with 1/21 Revisions Decay Products in Schools and Large Buildings 21 6.4 Test Site Documentation 6.4.1 Update testing records Floor plan diagrams or other records for tracking test locations shall be updated to achieve a record of: a) Test locations, addresses, rooms and mechanical systems or conditions observed that were inadvertently omitted or different than found during initial efforts to assemble building information; b) The nature of non-residential occupancies, such as locations occupied for educational, retail, food, beverage or office purposes. This includes noting if significantly occupied hours of the day, portions of the week or months of the year are different than typically expected for such establishment; and c) Building foundation types such as slab-on-grade, basement and crawl space foundations in the building being tested. 6.4.2 Test device logs No later than in conjunction with retrieval of devices and detectors, site testing logs shall be completed to include: a) Essential tracking details 1. Test location identification or address with any location specific notes, 2. Detector identification/serial numbers, 3. The start and stop dates and times of the measurement period; and b) Test reliability 1. A record of conditions that are known or suspected to impact the reliability of the test at any location, and 2. Annotation for each quality control check measurement to indicate its purpose. 6.5 Submitting Detectors to a Laboratory Detectors shall be forwarded to the laboratory as soon as possible in accordance with laboratory requirements to ensure quality of analysis procedures. Information provided to the laboratory shall include: a) The address of the property tested to include street address, city, state and zip code. b) Detector identification/serial numbers, and c) The start and stop dates and times of the measurement period.
